This quiz show style game board is used to bring fun to group learning while helping the facilitator determine how well participants have mastered the content.
When training our Examiners in a group setting, some learned the material faster than others. We needed a flexible, engaging way of reinforcing learning objectives while determining which areas needed 1-on-1 follow-up.
I authored a game board which accommodates 2 - 8 players in a familiar quiz show style. By updating variables and graphics in the Storyline file, the facilitator can quickly update content including questions, answers and even point values in minutes.
To foster participation and encourage critical thinking, the facilitator can adjust point values to offer partial credit or award points to multiple participants.
In this working example, players are asked questions about common household pets.
The game was authored in Storyline. It utilizes 3 scenes and multiple interactive features including object states and slide layers. Heavy use of variables automates scorekeeping, question values, and allows for rapid update of questions and answers.
