This eLearning course was presented to the AIDS Health Foundation L&D Staff as a demonstration of rapid needs analysis, course design, and content creation. In just 5 days, this course moved from concept to publication.
The need was to demonstrate project management tips to busy professionals who are experts in their field but need help organizing their tasks.
In under 45 seconds, an introductory video captures interest by establishing a likeable character, a relatable problem, and an invitation to learn from best practices. From there, the course provides useful tips, each anchored to a moment from the character's real campaign, drawing on Situated Learning Theory and Cognitive Load Theory. Opportunities to practice ensure learners aren't practicing abstract concepts, they're applying a practical framework to problems they already recognize from their own work.
This eLearning course was crafted in Rise with enhancements using Mighty. To meet time and resource constraints, the video content was minimally produced in PowerPoint. Text-to-voice audio was produced using Storyline.
